1. Houses ready to move into in the spring of 2020

Vredeoord is going to be Eindhoven’s new, sustainable, green, spaciously laid-out neighbourhood in the city’s Boschdijk area, where Philips’ head office used to be located. A neighbourhood where renters, self-builders and buyers of sustainably-built new houses will come and live.

In Vredeoord, a total of 62 spacious owner-occupied houses will be built, but what makes this project special is that construction work has already started and will definitely be completed. The first houses will be ready to move into in the spring of 2020. Would you like to live in a newly-built house in this attractive location in Eindhoven? Click owner-occupied houses to view the full particulars of each model. Can you already see yourself living here in the spring of 2020? Fill in the registration form straight away and the real estate agent will contact you.

2. Located in green area close to the city centre

Set amidst trees and shrubs and close to urban amenities, Vredeoord combines the best of two worlds. Vredeoord is more or less surrounded by wonderful parkland and woodland, such as the grounds of the Eindhoven Area Health Authority, the Philips de Jongh Park, and the Herdgang and the Wielewaal Parks slightly further away. Here you have plenty of green space on your doorstep and within a few minutes’ walk, and the city centre is within easy cycling distance. The urban hotspot Strijp-S is, for example, slightly more than five minutes away by bicycle. You can go to the centre of Eindhoven by bicycle in ten minutes and it only takes five minutes to cycle to the Strijp-S railway station. If you drive out of the Boschdijk neighbourhood by car, you can be on the A2 motorway in five minutes and at the ASML site or the High Tech Campus in 15 minutes. Although you will not live in the city centre in Vredeoord, you will live in a central location.

3. A great neighbourhood for kids where they can play safely outdoors

Vredeoord is a neighbourhood with modern amenities. It has a real sense of community and abundant open space with green scenery and water where children will love to play and explore. It has protected areas between the houses where small children can play safely together and places where older children can have fun messing around. The excellent parking facilities and low traffic volume mean that cars really do come second here and make Vredeoord is a true paradise for children.

An additional advantage is that Vredeoord is just a stone’s throw away from Eindhoven’s international school.

4. Energy-efficient and sustainably-built houses

Yes, Vredeoord is going to be spacious, green and child-friendly, but it will, of course, also be gas-free and solar panels will be installed on the roofs of the houses.

Natural materials play a leading role in Vredeoord and are used in an unadulterated, slightly capricious and pleasantly unpredictable way. The brickwork of the houses, for example, gradually changes from one natural colour to another. The timber construction materials come from nearby woodland. The high-quality ‘wood from the back garden’ is used to make building the houses in Vredeoord as sustainable as possible. The sturdy benches in the front gardens are also made of the local timber, which makes living in Vredeoord not only sustainable but also unique.

5. Spacious houses with extension and dormer window options

With a residential area of 135 m2, houses in Vredeoord are really spacious. You can choose from different models. If you want a house that is six metres wide, you should choose one of the Opperhout or Vlechtwerk models. If you would prefer a living room measuring approximately 11 metres long, the Steengoed model is an excellent choice. What makes these houses great is that the extra things that you as a buyer want to have done and that are normally charged as additional work, for example a living room extension or a dormer window, can be carried out together with the construction work and included in the price.
